Risk Manager – M&A & Strategic Change (Dubai or London)

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading financial services firm for an experienced
Risk Manager
to support acquisition integrations, strategic change initiatives and major investment activity.

This is a high-impact role providing
Risk Oversight across M&A
, transformation programmes and complex change projects, ensuring risks are identified early and managed effectively to support sustainable growth.

The Role:

You will play a key role in shaping successful acquisitions and change initiatives by:

  • Providing independent risk oversight on acquisitions, integrations, divestitures and strategic investments
  • Performing financial risk assessments across
    credit, market, counterparty and liquidity risk
    , and assessing impacts to the firm's overall risk profile
  • Supporting M&A due diligence, including review of commercials, valuations and independent financial model analysis
  • Influencing target operating models to ensure scalability, efficiency and robust end-to-end controls
  • Overseeing project risks throughout the lifecycle, including RAID management, mitigation and escalation
  • Partnering with Strategy, Finance, Treasury and Operational Risk on capital, liquidity and operating model assessments
  • Producing clear risk metrics and reporting for senior management, Risk Committee and Board papers
  • Leading post-implementation reviews and embedding lessons learned into future initiatives

About You:

  • Experience in
    Enterprise Risk Management
    within financial services
  • Strong knowledge of financial risk measures
    , particularly
    credit and market risk
    , with the ability to assess and challenge risk frameworks and methodologies
  • Experience supporting
    M&A, integrations or large-scale change programmes
  • Strong analytical capability, with both quantitative and qualitative assessment skills
  • Experience preparing
    Board and Committee-level reporting
  • CFA and/or FRM qualifications desirable
