  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales plans to meet business objectives, including achieving sales targets and quotas.

Key qualifications and skills

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a related field like pharmacy, life sciences, or business is often required.
  • Experience: Previous sales experience, especially in the medical or healthcare sector, is a plus.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to explain complex technical information is crucial.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with clients.
  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with sales and customer relationship management (CRM) software is beneficial.
  • Other Skills: Time management, ability to work independently, and a willingness to travel frequently are also important.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, hospitals, clinics, and other medical institutions.
  • Product Promotion: Promote and sell medical products, devices, or services by presenting them to potential clients and providing product demonstrations.
  • Marketing & Campaigns: Assist in and lead marketing initiatives, including promotional events, digital marketing campaigns, and community outreach.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to management.
  • Customer Support: Provide after-sales service and support to ensure customer satisfaction and handle inquiries.
