Key responsibilities

  • Cooking: Cook menu items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other methods to meet restaurant standards, portion control, and presentation specifications.
  • Quality control: Ensure all dishes meet the establishment's standards for taste, quality, and presentation.
  • Cleanliness and sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, equipment, and surfaces, and comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Inventory and stocking: Perform inventory checks and restock supplies as needed to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Collaboration: Work with other kitchen staff, such as prep cooks and servers, to ensure orders are prepared efficiently.
  • Special requests: Prepare dishes to accommodate customer allergies or other dietary needs.
