The Role

The Deployment Strategist role supports transformation-focused, technology-enabled, and data-driven initiatives across Abu Dhabi Government. Public-sector entities rely on this role to help improve services, strengthen operations, and support evidence-based decision-making powered by data and technology.

Deployment Strategists work alongside engineers, designers, analysts, and domain experts to support the implementation of advanced data solutions across diverse government missions. Your mission is to synthesize disconnected streams of thought into a cohesive understanding of what the most important problem is, what the data means, what users are motivated by what the solution needs, and where the real impact could be.

Deployment Strategists immerse themselves in the most intricate workflows across government entities, partner with operational teams to understand their needs, explore datasets, and dive into the product landscape to enable scale and adoption. A select number may also be deployed to internal cross-government initiatives.

This role requires curiosity, analytical depth, strong intuition for product, and a high degree of user empathy to ultimately empower decision-makers across government to make better decisions.

Role Responsibilities:

·       Liaise with the team to understand the critical questions they need to answer and identify their biggest pain points.

·       Identify relevant datasets through deep engagement with government problems and workflows and work with Forward-Deployed Engineering teams to integrate the data into a stable and extensible pipeline.

·       Work with government users to build bespoke workflows for new user groups.

·       Lead training sessions to ensure that the solution is meeting user needs, and to ensure it is being used widely enough to have concrete impact on government operations.

·       Present the results of our work and proposals for future work to audiences ranging from analysts to senior government executives.

·       Embed with our engineering and product teams to incorporate what you observed in the field into cross-government capability development.

·       Build and deliver demos to new and existing government stakeholders.

·       Scope out potential engagements in new sectors, entities, and domains across Abu Dhabi Government.

Candidate Profile

Experience:

·       Minimum 5 years of professional experience in technology, consulting, analytics, operations, or product implementation.

·       Hands-on experience working with large-scale data platforms, including platforms such as Foundry, or similar enterprise environments used for data integration, modeling, and operational workflows.

·       Experience working directly with end users in deployment, delivery, or implementation-focused roles, ideally in fast-paced or mission-critical settings.

·       Proven ability to work onsite with stakeholders, understand operational workflows, and translate requirements into actionable technical directions.

·       Experience with programming, scripting, or statistical tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Matlab) is a plus.

Skills and Competencies:

·       Strong problem-solving ability with comfort operating in ambiguous and unstructured environments.

·       Solid analytical reasoning skills and ability to interpret and work with complex datasets.

·       High user empathy with experience engaging directly with end users and understanding real workflows.

·       Clear and confident communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

·       Adaptive, collaborative, and able to shift between learning, supporting, and leading as needed.

·       Ability to work effectively with engineering teams, including data engineers and forward-deployed engineers
