key responsibilities

  • Financial record-keeping: Maintain the general ledger, process daily transactions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries), and perform bank and account reconciliations.
  • Project accounting:
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Monitor and track job costs, and analyze variances against budgets.
  • Review and process subcontractor and vendor payments and manage purchase orders.
  • Reporting and analysis:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Conduct financial analysis on project performance and profitability.
  • Analyze and report on potential financial risks and budgetary discrepancies.
  • Compliance and audit:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial policies, accounting standards, and tax laws.
  • Prepare information and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
  • Forecasting and budgeting: Assist with the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
  • Billing and invoicing: Prepare and submit invoices for services rendered and manage client billing.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Experience in accounting, preferably in the construction or contracting industry.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with project managers, vendors, and management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2, AED4,500.00 per month
