Position Summary

The Accounts Officer will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with taxation requirements, and supporting inventory-related financial activities. The role also involves regular coordination with internal teams, suppliers, customers, and auditors to support smooth financial and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting

  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately in the ERP system on a daily basis.
  • Perform month-end closing activities including suppliers' and customers' ledger reconciliation, general ledger management, and stock count verification.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
  • Enter production and dispatch details into the ERP system.
  • Maintain inventory ledgers and ensure all entries are up to date.
  • Manage payments to suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Prepare monthly budgets and forecasts.
  • Review staff salaries and ensure accurate disbursement.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and provide required documentation.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure timely recovery of outstanding payments.
  • Manage fixed assets within the ERP, ensuring proper tagging, tracking, and depreciation.
  • Oversee ERP operations related to accounting modules to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Inventory

  • Supervise stock takes and reconcile stock variances.
  • Track material movement and oversee spare parts purchasing and issuance.
  • Ensure proper documentation and ERP entries for all inventory-related activities.

Taxation

  • Manage VAT records and ensure timely and accurate VAT filing.
  • Handle excise tax processes and maintain proper records of all excise transactions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • ACCA Qualified/Part qualified, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in accounting or similar roles.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (experience with inventory modules preferred).
  • Good understanding of UAE VAT and excise tax regulations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
