Overview:

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for receiving, storing, and organizing goods within the warehouse. They ensure accurate inventory management and assist in order fulfilment and shipping processes. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Warehouse coordination:

  • Receive, handle, and store incoming products following clearance or local direct purchase.
  • Inspect all products received and ensure no products are damaged or missing.
  • Communicate the status of incoming shipments to the Warehouse Coordinator, including any delays and their respective reasons.

2. Inventory check:

  • Sort and store products in designated locations (racks, shelves, bins) using FIFO/FEFO method as directed by the Line Manager.
  • Prepare custom kits and labels according to customer requirements, ensuring accuracy.
  • Assist with monthly physical inventory counts and report discrepancies to the Line Manager.
  • Regularly check product expiry dates and remove expired items as per guidelines.
  • Dispose of expired items following instructions from the Line Manager.
  • Report damaged or missing items to the Line Manager.

3. Transport:

  • Prepare products for delivery in coordination with the Driver and Driver Assistant, as per the Delivery Order.
  • Verify that all packaged products match the correct quantity, type, and quality as per the supplier documents and the internal Quality Inspection Form.
  • Assist the Driver and Driver Assistant with the loading and unloading of products, ensuring that no items are damaged during the process.

4. Administration:

  • File all supporting documentation related to received or shipped products.
  • Accurately update data into NetSuite and manual record-keeping systems by scanning and uploading documents.
  • Manage and update the DMS project as required.
  • Adhere to all instructions provided by the Line Manager.
  • Ensure the warehouse is maintained in a clean and organized manner to uphold a safe working environment for Zahrawi employees.
Desired Candidate Profile
  • Education: High School/Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Job Specific Skills§ Proficient in MS Office Suite, Time Management, Organization skills, Attention to details, Endurance to lift heavy weight.

  • Additional details:

  • Expect physical labor such as lifting, moving, and organizing products. Depending on the size and weight of items, manual labor may be strenuous.

  • Warehouse setting with varying conditions (temperature, humidity), requiring readiness to work in both hot and cold environments.
  • Candidate should be based in Dubai.

Office Duty: Monday till Friday (8:00 am – 5:00 pm) plus over time as per business needs.
