The Role
The Assistant Manager – M&A and Corporate Strategy role is to support strategic initiatives that drive value creation and global growth. The purpose of this role is to contribute to the organization's long-term strategic objectives through active involvement in mergers and acquisitions, new business initiatives, business transformation and other key strategic projects.
What You Will Be Doing
- Support the CDO and senior management in evaluating new business opportunities, digital initiatives, partnerships and M&A prospects.
- Conduct financial analysis, valuations and business modeling to assess potential investments, acquisitions, and strategic projects.
- Prepare board-level presentations, reports and dashboards summarizing key insights, recommendations, and business performance.
- Assist in developing digital transformation strategies, identifying value creation opportunities, and tracking execution progress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Strategy, Operations, IT, and Business Units) to analyze data, streamline processes, and assess ROI on digital and strategic initiatives.
- Conduct market research, competitive benchmarking, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Work on business analytics projects to derive insights from operational and financial data, improving visibility and performance tracking.
What We Are Looking For
Some of the key competencies required for the role include:
Functional
- Strong understanding of valuation techniques, financial statements and key performance metrics.
- Proven analytical, financial and execution capabilities.
- Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Well-versed in valuation methodologies and financial due diligence.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling.
- Working knowledge of Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
Behavioral
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail with excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver within timelines.

Our Ideal Match
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in M&A and Corporate Strategy.
- Preferred background in Big 4 firms, mid-sized consulting/advisory firms, or leading boutique investment firms.
- Must hold a professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or an MBA from a reputed Tier-1 or Tier-2 business school.
- Proven experience in managing end-to-end M&A transactions, including project management and value creation initiatives.
- Prior exposure to cross-border transactions or international strategic projects will be an added advantage.
