Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Odoo ERP, project-based accounting, cost analysis, and payment follow-up, preferably within an engineering consultancy or construction environment. The role requires a hands-on professional capable of managing financial operations across multiple projects while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and control all accounting activities using Odoo ERP, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and project modules.

Oversee project-based financial tracking, including budget allocation, cost monitoring, and variance analysis.

Prepare detailed project cost analyses, cash flow forecasts, and financial performance reports.

Monitor and follow up on client invoices, collections, and outstanding payments, coordinating closely with project and commercial teams.

Manage supplier payments, verify invoices against contracts and progress, and ensure timely disbursements.

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting processes.

Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, VAT regulations, and internal financial controls.

Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities when required.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to support decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is an advantage).

Minimum 7–10 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in engineering consultancy, construction, or project-based organizations.

Proven, hands-on experience with Odoo ERP (project accounting and cost control modules are essential).

Strong knowledge of project cost control, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Solid understanding of UAE VAT regulations and statutory compliance.

High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and coordination skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
