In the role of Senior Consultant Pulmonologist, you will leverage your extensive clinical expertise to lead diagnostic and treatment initiatives, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Your commitment to excellence in healthcare will play a crucial role in advancing the quality of respiratory care within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including advanced assessments of patients with complex respiratory conditions
  • Order, perform, and interpret a variety of diagnostic tests such as spirometry, imaging studies, and bronchoscopy
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of pulmonary diseases, ensuring appropriate treatment plans are developed
  • Mentor and supervise junior physicians and healthcare personnel in best practices for patient care
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement integrated care pathways for respiratory patients
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery
  • Engage in research and educational activities to advance knowledge in the field of pulmonology and contribute to local medical education
  • Stay abreast of current advancements in pulmonology to ensure evidence-based practice
Requirements
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Pulmonology
  • Significant experience in clinical pulmonology, particularly in a senior or leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of advanced diagnostic procedures and treatment modalities in pulmonology
  • Experience working in a government healthcare facility or similar environment is preferred
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills to guide junior staff
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and multidisciplinary teams
  • Proven ability to handle complex and high-pressure clinical situations
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and adherence to clinical standards
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to participate in continuous education, research, and professional development
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team of healthcare professionals
