Job Summary:

The MEP Storekeeper is responsible for managing all activities related to the storage, handling, and inventory control of materials and equipment used in MEP works. This includes receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and tracking materials to ensure smooth site operations and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory & Material Management

  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing MEP materials.
  • Organize and label materials according to type and project requirements.
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate reorders to avoid shortages.
  • Prepare reports on material usage, stock levels, and discrepancies.

Receiving & Inspection

  • Receive and inspect deliveries for quantity and quality.
  • Record receipts and assist in preparing quality reports.
  • Report damaged or incorrect deliveries to procurement and vendors.

Issuance & Coordination

  • Issue materials as per approved indents and project schedules.
  • Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors for timely material supply.
  • Recollect unused or excess materials at the end of work shifts.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain inventory records using software or manual logs.
  • Prepare fortnightly/monthly consumption reports with site engineers.
  • Update display boards/slates with current stock status.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures in material handling.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the store area.
  • Follow HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, Environment) standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in construction, preferably MEP projects.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of safety regulations and construction materials.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract

Contract length: 24 months

Pay: AED2, AED3,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
