Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Head of Site Reliability, based in Dubai. The Head of Site Reliability will oversee the resilience, performance, and scalability of Styli's technology infrastructure. Responsibilities include building and leading a team of Site Reliability Engineers, strategizing and implementing robust incident management, monitoring the system's reliability, and ensuring the alignment of engineering practices with business goals. Proactively improving system availability and developing tools to enhance operational visibility and performance will also be key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

Core SRE & Infrastructure:

• Proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), infrastructure design, and scalable systems management at a leadership level.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Ansible), and advanced observability strategies.
• Skilled in leveraging Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration for high-availability environments.

Application Programming & Performance Optimization:

• Deep proficiency in Application Programming (Go, Rust, Java, or Python). Ability to review source code, refactor inefficient logic, and contribute to feature development to improve system stability.
• Expertise in full-stack Performance Optimization, from database query tuning and caching (Redis/Memcached) to code-level profiling and latency reduction.

Security Operations (SoC) & DevSecOps:

• Integrated Security on Call (SoC) Management: Experience leading Security Operations and managing security-focused on-call rotations. capable of distinguishing between operational outages and security breaches.
• DevSecOps Implementation: Proven ability to shift security left by embedding automated vulnerability scanning (SAST/DAST) and compliance checks directly into CI/CD pipelines.
• Incident Response Command: Experience acting as an Incident Commander for security breaches, managing root cause analysis (RCA) for security events, and implementing remediation strategies to prevent recurrence.

AutoOps & Automation Strategy:

• Strategic experience with AutoOps: Proven track record of building self-healing systems and utilizing AI/ML-driven tools for automated anomaly detection and immediate remediation (NoOps).
• Elimination of Toil: relentless focus on automating manual operational tasks, including automated patch management, certificate renewals, and capacity scaling.

Leadership & General:

• Proficient problem-solving abilities and leadership skills to mentor teams across both reliability and security domains.
• Strong communication skills for bridging the gap between Engineering, Security, and Product teams.
• Experience in the eCommerce or fashion industry is advantageous.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
