Job Summary

We are hiring a Calibration Engineer – Marine Automation & Instrumentation to support our Marine Automation & Calibration Division. The role involves workshop and site-based calibration, inspection, minor repairs, certification, and documentation of marine instruments, in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration and testing of laboratory and field instruments as per approved SOPs.
  • Execute workshop and onboard vessel calibration jobs in line with ISO 9001 procedures.
  • Support ISO/IEC 17025 calibration activities under approved methods and supervision.
  • Inspect faulty instruments received from vessels and identify defects or repair requirements.
  • Prepare inspection, fault, and service reports and coordinate with the service team for follow-up.
  • Generate accurate calibration certificates and service documentation.
  • Ensure traceability, confidentiality, and impartiality in all calibration activities.
  • Maintain calibration tools, masters, and reference instruments within validity.
  • Track instrument and spare movement and support coordination between workshop and site teams.
  • Maintain workshop safety, housekeeping, and tool discipline.

Instruments & Systems Covered

  • Gas detection systems (portable and fixed)
  • Pressure instruments (gauges, transmitters, switches)
  • Temperature instruments (RTDs, thermocouples, transmitters)
  • Electrical instruments (multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers)
  • UTI / MMC tapes and related equipment

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronics / Automation.
  • 3–4 years of experience in calibration and testing.
  • Marine industry experience is mandatory.
  • Experience in workshop and site calibration is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of marine automation and instrumentation systems.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, reporting, documentation).
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
