Role Description

The Quality Control Officer – Customer Service is responsible for ensuring that all products and services meet established quality standards and customer expectations. The role involves conducting inspections, managing customer feedback, coordinating rectifications, and maintaining compliance with ISO quality systems. This position serves as a key link between production and customers to ensure continuous improvement and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle customer inquiries and correspondence via phone and email, both locally and internationally.
  • Conduct site inspections within the emirate's jurisdiction.
  • Prepare and maintain site reports, documentation, and related correspondence.
  • Attend to mattress rectification and quality issues on the shop floor.
  • Monitor deliveries and provide regular updates to customers.
  • Maintain and update daily mattress production logs.
  • Manage and update the customer complaint register and database.
  • Perform pre-inspection of mattresses and furniture (e.g., divans, headboards, sofas, cupboards).
  • Carry out in-process inspections within the mattress, foam, and carpentry sections.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, including ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), ISO 14001:2015 (EMS), and ISO 45001:2018.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of
    2–5 years of experience
    in quality control, customer service, or a similar role within a manufacturing or production environment (preferably in the foam, furniture, or mattress industry).
  • Strong knowledge of
    ISO 9001:2015 (QMS)
    ,
    ISO 14001:2015 (EMS)

    ISO 45001:2018 (OHSMS)
    standards.
  • Proficient in preparing inspection reports, documentation, and quality-related correspondence.
  • Ability to conduct site and product inspections with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiar with quality auditing processes and corrective action procedures.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database management.

Interpersonal & Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle complaints and resolve issues professionally.
  • Effective coordination and teamwork skills across departments and with external customers.
