The Kitchen Helper assists the kitchen team by performing various tasks such as food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and fruits.

  • Measure and prepare ingredients as directed by the chef.

  • Assist with basic cooking tasks like portioning ingredients and arranging dishes.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas.

  • Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools.

  • Regularly clean workstations, equipment, and floors.

  • Assist with unloading and storing food supplies.

  • Rotate stock to ensure freshness, discarding expired items.

  • Monitor inventory and alert supervisors of any shortages.

  • Properly dispose of kitchen waste and follow recycling guidelines.

  • Maintain hygiene in waste disposal areas.

  • Set up workstations and prepare them for use.

  • Help with simple tasks during peak hours to support the kitchen staff.

  • Adhere to health, safety, and food handling regulations.

Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen or food service role (preferred but not required).

Skills:

  • Ability to follow instructions and multitask.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Physical Demands: Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/move heavy items.

Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.
