Production Manager

Position Title: Production Manager

Department: Smart Modular Solutions (POD Division)

Reports To: Division Manager – POD / General Manager (Operations)

Location: Metaform Industries LLC – UAE

1. Position Overview

The Production Manager – Smart Modular Solutions is responsible for leading, planning, and controlling the end-to-end production of smart modular PODs, prefabricated units, and modular structures. This role ensures timely delivery of high-quality modular products through effective production planning, manpower management, process optimization, and coordination across engineering, procurement, quality, logistics, and site installation teams.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Production Planning & Control

• Develop and implement production plans and schedules based on project requirements and delivery timelines.
• Allocate resources (manpower, machinery, materials) to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Monitor productivity KPIs and take corrective actions to avoid delays or bottlenecks.
• Prepare daily and weekly production reports for management review.

B. Operational Management

• Oversee the complete fabrication, assembly, finishing, and testing of modular PODs.
• Ensure adherence to manufacturing standards, workflow processes, and operating procedures.
• Coordinate with Engineering for drawings, BOQs, and technical clarifications.
• Ensure timely material availability through coordination with Procurement and Supply Chain.

C. Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all products are manufactured according to ISO, QHSE, and client specifications.
• Work closely with the Quality Control team to resolve quality issues.
• Enforce strict safety rules and compliance with company HSE policies.
• Conduct toolbox talks and risk assessments related to production activities.

D. Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and supervise supervisors, technicians, fabricators, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other production staff.
• Conduct performance reviews, identify skill gaps, and recommend training.
• Drive a culture of discipline, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

E. Process Improvement & Optimization

• Identify opportunities to streamline production processes to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality.
• Implement lean manufacturing practices and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Oversee maintenance schedules of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.

F. Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with Project Managers for project progress and delivery milestones.
• Coordinate with the Logistics team for transportation and delivery of completed PODs.

• Collaborate with HR/Admin for manpower recruitment, overtime approvals, and shift planning.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of modular construction processes, MEP integration, and factory production workflows.
• Knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems used in modular PODs.
• Ability to read technical drawings, production layouts, and BOQs.
• Proficiency in production planning tools and MS Office (Excel, project tracking tools).

5. Working Conditions

• Factory-based role with routine inspections across production floors.
• May require overtime or weekend work depending on project urgency.
• Site visits may be required for installation or inspections.

3. Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing, modular construction, or prefabrication industry.
• Previous experience in POD manufacturing, modular buildings, or metal fabrication is highly preferred.
