Key Responsibilities
1. Client Onboarding & Requirements Gathering

  • Conduct structured onboarding interviews with new clients.
  • Review and validate environmental data shared by clients (species lists, site data, planting plans, etc.).
  • Translate project needs into clear requirements for GIS and carbon analysis teams.

2. Carbon & Nature-Based Project Support

  • Interpret GIS outputs (NDVI, canopy cover, AGB estimates).
  • Perform baseline carbon calculations using AGB values, default factors, and standard methodologies.
  • Evaluate species suitability, planting density, and restoration feasibility.
  • Support monitoring plans (survival assessments, growth expectations, carbon uplift forecasts).

3. Environmental Reporting & Technical Advisory

  • Prepare environmental baseline reports, ecological assessments, and carbon summaries.
  • Develop management and monitoring plans for native vegetation, restoration sites, and sensitive habitats.
  • Provide guidance on species conservation, site management practices, and environmental best practice.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work with GIS developers to ensure ecological accuracy of outputs.
  • Liaise with platform and product teams to improve environmental modules.
  • Support consulting projects requiring terrestrial ecological knowledge and environmental planning expertise.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in
    Environmental Science, Ecology, Forestry, Natural Resources, Biodiversity Conservation
    , or related fields.

Strong understanding of
:

  • Terrestrial ecosystems
  • Vegetation assessment
  • Carbon fundamentals (AGB, biomass factors, emission factors, sequestration potential)
  • Nature-based solutions and restoration
  • Experience writing technical environmental reports.
  • Ability to interpret GIS layers and remote-sensing outputs (NDVI, canopy cover, land cover).
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

Preferred

  • Experience with carbon standards (VCS, Gold Standard, ACR) even basic exposure is helpful.
  • Familiarity with Saudi Arabian ecosystems, native species, or GCC restoration projects.
  • Experience in environmental consulting or sustainability project delivery.
