We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled Commis I & Commis II specializing in Continental Cuisine to join a reputed fine-dining restaurant in Oman. The candidates should have a passion for cooking, a good understanding of basic continental dishes, and the ability to assist senior chefs in maintaining high kitchen standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook continental dishes under the supervision of senior chefs.
  • Assist in daily mise en place and ensure proper portioning and plating of dishes.
  • Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines to maintain consistency.
  • Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in kitchen operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety in accordance with HACCP standards.
  • Properly label, store, and rotate ingredients to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Work efficiently during busy service hours while maintaining quality and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Commis I or Commis II in a continental or multi-cuisine restaurant.
  • Basic knowledge of continental dishes, sauces, and cooking methods.
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork, discipline, and willingness to learn.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene procedures.
