Role Summary:

The Orthopaedic Surgeon (Spine & Hand) will diagnose, treat, and surgically manage disorders related to the spine and upper extremity, with a strong focus on patient safety, clinical excellence, and multidisciplinary collaboration in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage spinal and hand conditions (trauma, degenerative, congenital, and inflammatory).
  • Perform elective and emergency spine and hand surgeries, including minimally invasive procedures where applicable.
  • Provide pre-operative, operative, and post-operative care ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including neurology, neurosurgery, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation.
  • Participate in on-call duties, emergency coverage, clinical audits, and case discussions (MDT/Tumor Boards where applicable).
  • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Adhere to ethical, professional, and infection control standards; contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience:

  • MBBS with MS/MD (Orthopaedics) or equivalent.
  • Fellowship / advanced training in Spine Surgery and Hand Surgery.
  • Valid medical license/eligibility as per local regulatory authority.
  • Minimum relevant post-qualification experience in a tertiary care or hospital setting preferred.
