The Mission

Internalise and fully own the group's accounting operations. Ensure clean, accurate, and timely financial records across all entities while supporting audits, compliance, and management reporting. Reduce dependency on external accountants by building strong internal processes, controls, and documentation. Enable leadership to make confident, data-driven decisions based on reliable and audit-ready financial information. This is a
hands-on, ownership-driven financial accounting role
.

What You Will Do

  • Own end-to-end financial accounting for multiple entities, including GL, AP, AR, accruals, provisions, and fixed assets
  • Close monthly books within defined timelines with audit-ready accuracy
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure integrity of financial data
  • Manage intercompany accounting and settlement of balances
  • Prepare schedules and documentation for statutory, tax, and internal audits
  • Maintain compliance with IFRS and applicable local regulatory requirements
  • Support historical audit closures and ensure current-year audit readiness
  • Document, standardise, and improve accounting SOPs as part of the internalisation initiative
  • Work closely with finance leadership to strengthen internal controls and reporting quality
  • Identify opportunities for automation, system improvement, and process efficiency

Who You Are

  • A hands-on
    Financial Accountant
    with
    5+ years of experience
  • Fluent in
    Dutch or German (spoken)
    ; documentation and reporting in English
  • Strong command of accounting standards, controls, and reconciliations
  • Comfortable owning accounting independently, not just executing tasks
  • Highly structured, disciplined, and detail-oriented
  • Calm, dependable, and accurate under deadlines
  • Confident working across multiple entities and cross-border structures
  • Ethical, discreet, and professional with sensitive financial information
  • Adaptable and open to systems, tooling, and automation improvements
