Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inspector- Roads to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As an Inspector- Roads, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of road construction and maintenance projects throughout the emirate.
- Conduct thorough inspections of road construction, maintenance, and repair projects to ensure compliance with local standards and specifications
- Utilize specialized equipment and tools to assess road conditions, materials, and workmanship
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, deficiencies, and recommendations for corrective actions
- Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents related to road projects
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to address issues and ensure project quality
- Monitor and enforce safety regulations on construction sites
- Perform quality control tests on materials used in road construction and maintenance
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and project progress
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on inspection activities and findings
- Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in road construction and maintenance
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in road inspection or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of road construction and maintenance techniques
- Proficiency in using inspection equipment and tools
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and standards in road construction
- Excellent report writing skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficient in using computer software for data entry and report generation
- Familiarity with local road construction standards and regulations in Abu Dhabi
- Valid UAE driver's license
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions in Abu Dhabi's climate
- Relevant certifications in road inspection or construction management (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform field inspections and navigate construction sites
