Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate cost estimations, efficient project planning, and effective contract administration for various construction projects.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Develop and analyze bills of quantities for tender documentation.
• Review and evaluate tender submissions from contractors.
• Assist in the preparation of contract documents and procurement strategies.
• Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to achieve favorable terms.
• Undertake quantity measurement for inclusion in cost plans, estimates, and bills of quantities.
• Implement, maintain, and monitor cost control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide input and support in the preparation and assessment of financial claims.
• Evaluate variations, additions, and omissions, and incorporate findings into monthly cost reports.
• Prepare, process, and negotiate change orders with clients and contractors.
• Conduct market testing and analyze tender returns to support rate benchmarking.
• Update and maintain the cost database for future reference.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certification from a recognized quantity surveying body (e.g., RICS) is advantageous.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• In-depth knowledge of project costing and budgeting.
• Experience in preparing tender documents and contract administration.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and procurement processes.
• Knowledge of local construction regulations and standards in the UAE.
• Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Adaptability to changing project requirements and industry trends.
