Job Summary

We are actively seeking a highly skilled Tile and Marble Mason to join our construction and fit-out team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for the precise cutting, laying, and finishing of various natural stone, ceramic, and marble materials for floors, walls, and countertops. This role demands exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail to ensure all finishes meet the highest standards of quality and design specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces, including concrete, plywood, and drywall, by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary waterproofing membranes or leveling compounds.
  • Cutting & Shaping: Accurately measure, cut, and shape tiles, marble, and natural stone using power saws, tile cutters, and hand tools to fit around corners, pipes, and architectural features.
  • Laying & Setting: Precisely lay and set various materials (ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite) on floors, walls, and other surfaces using specialized adhesives and mortar.
  • Grouting & Finishing: Perform detailed grouting and sealing, ensuring joints are clean, uniform, and water-tight. Apply final finishes to achieve a professional, aesthetic look.
  • Reading Blueprints: Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and design specifications to execute intricate patterns, layouts, and custom designs.
  • Material Management: Calculate material requirements (tiles, mortar, grout) to minimize waste and ensure efficient project flow.
  • Quality Control: Conduct final inspections to ensure installations are level, properly aligned, durable, and meet the required strength and aesthetic standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety standards and company practices, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Tile Setter, Marble Installer, or Finish Mason with a focus on high-quality stone and ceramic materials.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expert knowledge of various tiling materials, adhesives, mortars, and grouts used in high-end construction.
  • High proficiency in using precision cutting tools (wet saws, grinders) for marble and natural stone.
  • Demonstrated ability to lay complex patterns (e.g., herringbone, mosaics) and install large format tiles.
  • Blueprint Comprehension: Strong ability to read and accurately follow technical drawings, layout plans, and specifications.
  • Physical Requirements: Excellent physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor, including kneeling, lifting heavy materials, and working on varied surfaces.
  • Certifications: Valid construction safety certifications (preferred).
  • Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with supervisors and other tradespeople.
