Job Title: Inspector & Quality Controller (Automotive)

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Reporting to: Workshop Manager / Service Manager

Role Objective

The Inspector & Quality Controller ensures that every vehicle serviced—whether for mechanical repair, electrical troubleshooting, or cosmetic restoration—meets the highest industry standards and company safety protocols before being handed back to the customer.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Technical Inspection (Mechanical & Electrical)

  2. Perform Road Tests to diagnose issues and verify post-repair performance.

  3. Conduct comprehensive multi-point inspections on engines, transmissions, braking systems, and suspensions.
  4. Use diagnostic scanners to verify that all Electrical & Electronic faults are cleared and modules are correctly programmed.

  5. Ensure all fluid levels, torques, and clearances meet manufacturer specifications.

  6. Cosmetic & Structural Inspection (Bodyshop & Paint)

  7. Bodyshop: Inspect panel alignment, gap consistency, and welding quality to ensure structural integrity and aesthetics.

  8. Paint: Check for color matching, texture (orange peel), dust inclusions, and paint thickness. Ensure no overspray is present on rubbers or glass.

  9. Verify that all safety components (airbags, sensors) disturbed during bodywork are fully functional.

  10. Car Care & Final Valeting

  11. Inspect detailing work, including ceramic coating application, interior deep cleaning, and polishing.

  12. Ensure the vehicle is delivered in "showroom condition," free of grease marks, dust, or technician footprints.

  13. Compliance & Documentation

  14. Maintain detailed Quality Checklists for every job card.

  15. Identify "re-work" requirements and provide constructive feedback to technicians.
  16. Ensure the workshop adheres to Abu Dhabi's local environmental and safety regulations .

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Knowledge: Proven experience in modern European, Japanese, and American vehicles.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Expertise: Ability to "speak the language" of mechanics, electricians, and painters alike.
