We are seeking a detail-oriented
Lead
SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) Designer
to support instrumentation design and data development activities using SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI / INtools). The role focuses on creating, maintaining, and validating instrumentation design data and deliverables in alignment with project specifications, engineering standards, and multidisciplinary workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain instrumentation design data within
    SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI / INtools)
    .
  • Create and update
    Instrument Index, datasheets, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and termination details
    using SPI modules.
  • Support preparation of instrumentation deliverables for
    FEED and detailed engineering
    phases.
  • Perform data entry, bulk loading, and validation of instrumentation data in SPI.
  • Coordinate with Instrumentation Engineers to ensure accuracy and completeness of design data.
  • Maintain project catalogs, specifications, and tag management in line with project requirements.
  • Generate standard and custom reports from SPI to support engineering and project needs.
  • Ensure consistency between SPI data and P&IDs, vendor documents, and other discipline deliverables.
  • Support data handover, as-built updates, and project close-out activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in
    Instrumentation, Electrical, or related engineering discipline
    .
  • Proven experience as a
    SmartPlant Instrumentation Designer
    in EPC or industrial projects.
  • Hands-on experience with
    SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI / INtools)
    .
  • Working knowledge of instrumentation design deliverables and engineering workflows.
  • Familiarity with SPI modules such as Instrument Index, Datasheets, Loop, and Wiring.
  • Good understanding of P&IDs and instrumentation symbols.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary project environment.

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Experience in
    Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Power, or Renewable Energy projects
    .
  • Exposure to
    SmartPlant Foundation (SPF)
    or other engineering data management systems.
  • Experience with data migration, bulk data load tools, or report customization.
  • Understanding of project documentation and as-built processes.
