We are looking for an IT Support Engineer who will be responsible for communications (mobiles, landlines), wireless, video conferencing, and licenses. Managing the BAU (business as usual) daily activities on both PCs & Mac machines. Manage the Assets/inventory/Licensing in conjunction with the Service Desk Lead. Level II supports the Engineer for the Helpdesk on Infrastructure issues. Reporting to the Service Desk lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing the first point of contact for support and maintenance of Mac & PC equipment and developing procedures to ensure the whole team has the skills to support the Macs.
  • Act as a junior business support partner for the GCC region, providing responsive IT assistance to regional teams and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across offices.
  • Plan, monitor, and record software license and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with supplier contracts in conjunction with the Procurement Manager.
  • Ensure there are no unauthorized assets such as unlicensed copies of software.
  • Ensure compliance with information security policies and other applicable desktop/server/mobile standards.
  • Limit overheads associated with managing and supporting software by streamlining and/or automating IT processes such as inventory tracking, software deployment, issue tracking, and patch management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and control of all IT assets by ensuring proper tagging of physical assets.
  • Maintain policies and procedures surrounding the acquisition, documentation, deployment, usage, and retirement of software.
  • Implement the IT Asset Disposition process, ensuring proper disposal or continuity of the IT assets.
  • Monitor IT asset costs and maintain required financial records, using appropriate tools, for recharging IT assets, compliance, and for audit purposes.

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science/ IT/ Systems/ Engineering and/or Diploma in any related discipline.
  • 3-5 years job related experience.
  • MCSE Certification is preferred
  • ITIL Certification.
