Key Responsibilities1. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Assist in processing supplier invoices, purchase orders, and payment vouchers.
- Verify invoices with LPOs, delivery notes, and GRNs before posting.
- Follow up on pending invoices and payment approvals.
- Support in customer invoicing and collection follow-ups.
2. Bank & Cash Handling
- Prepare bank deposit slips and maintain petty cash records.
- Assist in daily cash reconciliation and expense tracking.
- Coordinate with the bank for cheque deposits and withdrawals.
3. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate and organized financial files (invoices, receipts, statements).
- Update and manage accounting logs and ledgers.
- Ensure all documents are filed according to audit requirements.
4. Support in Monthly Closing
- Assist the accountant with journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
- Help in preparing statements for monthly and annual audits.
- Reconcile supplier/vendor statements and follow up on discrepancies.
5. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with the logistics, procurement, and sales departments for invoice clarifications.
- Communicate with vendors and customers regarding invoice status and payments.
- Provide necessary data to internal departments when required.
6. Inventory & Store Coordination (if applicable)
- Assist in stock verification and stock entry reconciliation.
- Support in matching inventory values with accounting records.
7. General Accounting Support
- Prepare reports requested by the Accountant or Finance Manager.
- Support in VAT record preparation (if UAE-based).
- Handle basic administrative tasks related to finance.
