Job Overview

Purple Mice LLC, one of the UAE's leading AV production companies, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
AV Engineer specializing in LED walls and professional video systems for live events
.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of
3 years of hands-on experience in LED screen setup, advanced video signal management, media servers, and live video operation
for concerts, corporate events, exhibitions, and large-scale productions.

As an AV Engineer, you will play a key role in
designing, configuring, and operating advanced visual systems
, ensuring seamless visual delivery and technical excellence at every event.

Key Responsibilities

AV System Design and Planning

• Collaborate with clients and creative teams to design AV setups tailored to event concepts and venue specifications.
• Plan LED wall configurations, resolutions, and pixel mapping for optimal visual performance.
• Prepare video system workflows, including content alignment and playback planning.

Equipment Setup and Operation

• Install, rig, and configure LED walls, video processors, media servers, video switchers, and signal distribution systems.
• Manage video signal flow from source to display, ensuring color accuracy, synchronization, and system stability.

Live Event Operation

• Operate LED walls and video systems during rehearsals and live shows.
• Coordinate closely with lighting, audio, and production teams to ensure seamless show execution.
• Manage live switching, mapped LED content playback, and on-the-fly troubleshooting under show conditions.

System Calibration and Testing

• Perform pre-event testing, calibration, and alignment of LED panels and video systems.
• Ensure accurate content playback across multiple resolutions and aspect ratios.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• Maintain, inspect, and repair LED panels and video hardware.
• Quickly diagnose and resolve signal, processing, or playback-related issues.

Safety and Compliance

• Follow rigging, electrical, and safety standards for LED and video installations.
• Ensure all setups comply with company policies, venue requirements, and local regulations.

Collaboration and Innovation

• Work closely with audio, lighting, content, and show control teams to deliver a unified and high-quality event experience.
• Stay current with emerging AV technologies, LED systems, media servers, and video standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum
  3 years of experience
  as an AV, LED, or Video Engineer in live events, exhibitions, or corporate shows.
• Strong technical knowledge of
  LED display systems, video processors, media servers, and video signal distribution
  .
• Familiarity with leading AV and LED brands and control systems.
• Solid understanding of video formats, resolutions, refresh rates, color calibration, and LED mapping workflows.
• Working knowledge of rigging practices, power distribution, networking, and show control systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills under time pressure.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
• A valid UAE driving license is a plus.
