What Will Your Day Look Like?

As the Assistant Manager – Internal Audit & Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and compliance of Agthia's internal operations.

You will lead audit engagements across business units, review and validate audit documentation, and provide actionable insights to management. In this role, you will also mentor auditors, drive adoption of audit tools, and help strengthen awareness of internal controls and governance practices throughout the organization.

How Will You Make an Impact?

• Lead and oversee audit planning, including defining audit scope, objectives, and procedures.
• Supervise audit fieldwork and ensure audit execution adheres to internal standards and regulatory requirements.
• Review audit documentation and draft reports prior to submission for management review.
• Ensure timely completion and closure of all audit projects within the audit management system (ePortal).
• Monitor and track the implementation of management action plans arising from audit recommendations.
• Assist in promoting internal control awareness across Agthia through training and communication sessions.
• Undertake special projects and consulting assignments as requested by the Head or Manager of Internal Audit.
• Ensure optimal use of audit tools and technology to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
• Represent the department in opening and closing meetings and other assigned engagements.
• Provide guidance and coaching to team members to enhance their technical and analytical capabilities.
• Support in ensuring compliance with IIA standards, ADAA requirements, and Agthia's internal audit manual.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, including auditors and local authorities.
• Maintain comprehensive audit documentation and ensure proper indexing and sign-off.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit methodologies and best practices.
• Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and compliance across the business.

Education and Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
• Certification: CPA, CIA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Experience: 7 -10 years of experience in internal and/or external audit.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of auditing standards and regional regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in Audit Management Systems and tools.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
