Job Summary: Manage all finishing trades on site, plastering, painting, tiling, gypsum, flooring, and wood finishes, to ensure flawless aesthetic quality and on-time handover of the building interiors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise finishing tradesmen in plastering, skim coating, wall patching, paint application, tile fixing, grouting, false ceiling installation, and floor finishes
  • Inspect surfaces before finishing for cleanliness, moisture content, and smoothness to guarantee adhesion and finish quality
  • Monitor mixing and application techniques of plaster, paint, adhesives, and grouts to avoid defects like cracks, peeling, unevenness
  • Enforce strict sequence of finishing works to avoid damage and ensure coordination with MEP and structural teams
  • Conduct daily site inspections using tools like straight edges, levels, and moisture meters to verify surface flatness and quality
  • Coordinate with QA/QC for sample approvals and testing (adhesion tests, colour matching, gloss levels)
  • Manage manpower deployment per finishing trade to meet critical path deadlines
  • Monitor protection of finished areas from dust, moisture, and physical damage during ongoing works
  • Handle touch-ups, defect repairs, and final snagging before handover
  • Track material consumption to minimize wastage and reorder on time
  • Oversee scaffold erection and safe work-at-height procedures during ceiling and external finishing works
  • Liaise with suppliers for new finishing technologies and materials, ensuring compliance with specifications
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment, conducting daily toolbox talks focused on finishing hazards

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Secondary school certificate or Diploma.
  • 12 or more years of practical site experience including 6 years as a Finishing Foreman in building construction in the UAE/GCC
  • Able to read & interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings precise.
