Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified
General Practitioner (GP)
with a valid
Department of Health (DOH) license
to join our Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB-GYN) Department. The GP will provide comprehensive primary care services to women, focusing on reproductive health, pregnancy, childbirth, and gynecological conditions, while collaborating closely with obstetricians, gynecologists, and nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine medical examinations, health assessments, and screenings for women's health.
- Provide antenatal, postnatal, and family planning consultations.
- Diagnose and manage common gynecological and obstetric conditions, referring complex cases to specialists when required.
- Support obstetricians in monitoring pregnancies, managing labor, and assisting in deliveries when necessary.
- Educate patients on reproductive health, contraception, maternal health, and preventive care.
- Respond to emergencies in the OB-GYN department, including complications during pregnancy or delivery.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with DOH standards and hospital policies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans.
- Promote health awareness and preventive practices within the community.
Qualifications & Skills
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Valid DOH license
to practice as a General Practitioner in the UAE. - Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience, preferably with exposure to obstetrics and gynecology.
- Strong knowledge of women's health, reproductive medicine, and preventive care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient counseling and teamwork.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced clinical environments.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to medical ethics.
Languages
Fluency in English and Arabic is required, and competence in other languages is often a distinct asset.
