Driver cum Warehouse Assistant

Location: Dubai, UAE

Employment Type: Full-time

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Job Purpose

The Driver cum Warehouse Assistant is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods and for supporting daily warehouse operations, including order preparation, packing, loading, unloading, and inventory handling. The role requires strong driving skills, attention to safety, basic warehouse knowledge, and a customer-focused attitude to ensure efficient and accurate deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

Driving & Delivery Duties

  • Safely operate assigned company vehicles in compliance with UAE traffic laws and company policies
  • Deliver customer orders accurately and on schedule
  • Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to avoid damage
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness (interior and exterior) at all times
  • Perform routine vehicle checks (fuel, oil, tires, brakes, lights, etc.) and report maintenance needs promptly
  • Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance
  • Ensure delivery documents (delivery notes, invoices, customer signatures) are correctly completed.

Warehouse Operations

  • Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule, including picking, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping
  • Verify quality and quantity of items before dispatch and upon delivery
  • Support inventory control activities such as stock placement and basic stock counts
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the warehouse
  • Handle goods according to company handling and storage procedures

General & Ad-Hoc Duties

  • Support warehouse and operations teams as required
  • Perform any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor or management
  • Follow company SOPs, health & safety rules, and operational guidelines

Qualifications & Requirements

Mandatory

  • Valid UAE driving license (Manual – Light Vehicle)
  • Proven working experience as a Driver
  • Good knowledge of UAE roads and routes
  • Ability to lift and move cartons and goods safely
  • Good English communication skills (spoken and basic written)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to join immediately
  • Age: Maximum 35 years

Preferred

  • Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse processes (picking, packing, labeling)
  • Customer service experience is an advantage
