  • Accurately dispense medications, ensuring the correct drug, dosage, and instructions are provided to patients, minimizing errors and promoting patient safety.
  • Receive and verify prescriptions from prescribers, clarifying any ambiguities and contacting prescribers for necessary information to ensure medication accuracy.
  • Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory by ordering, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Operate pharmacy software and equipment, including automated dispensing systems and compounding devices, to ensure efficiency and accuracy in dispensing.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting patients with inquiries, resolving issues, and educating them on medication usage and potential side effects.
Desired Candidate Profile
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, providing a foundational level of education.
  • Completion of a pharmacy technician training program is preferred, offering specialized knowledge and skills.
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience is desirable, allowing for practical application of skills and knowledge.
  • Strong proficiency in English is required for effective communication with patients and colleagues.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential, fostering positive patient interactions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks is necessary, meeting the physical demands of the role.
