About the Role

We are seeking a qualified
freelance accountant
with experience in
UAE Free Zone accounting and tax compliance
to assist with preparing and filing corporate tax returns, maintaining financial records, and ensuring full compliance with
Federal Tax Authority (FTA)
regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of
UAE corporate tax
,
VAT
, and
free zone reporting requirements
, and will be able to work independently on a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file
    corporate tax returns
    for a UAE Free Zone company in compliance with FTA requirements.
  • Bookkeeping guidance
  • Ensure the company meets all
    UAE corporate tax deadlines
    and reporting obligations.
  • Review and reconcile financial statements, ledgers, and expense records.
  • Provide advice on 
    tax optimisation
     and compliance within the framework of the UAE free zone regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and regulatory purposes.
  • File
    VAT returns
    (if applicable) and ensure compliance with VAT registration and reporting standards.
  • Communicate with free zone authorities and the FTA as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
    in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
    in accounting and tax filing within the UAE (experience with Free Zone entities preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of
    UAE Corporate Tax Law (effective June 2023)
    and
    VAT regulations
    .
  • Experience with
    FTA e-Services portal
    and
    EmaraTax system
    .
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or Xero).
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • Must be
    legally eligible to work as a freelancer in the UAE
    (with valid freelance permit or trade license).
