The Civil Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various civil engineering projects, including building construction and infrastructure projects. This role involves analyzing project plans and specifications, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, and ensuring that all estimates comply with company policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation &Bid Preparation:

  • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand the scope of work.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Develop and maintain unit cost databases and historical cost records
  • Compile and submit comprehensive bids and proposals for civil engineering projects.
  • Coordinate with the Estimation Manager and other team members to ensure all aspects of the bid are accurate and complete.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information and clarify project requirements.

Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination:

  • Obtain and review quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Negotiate prices and terms with vendors and subcontractors to achieve cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate pricing information.

Cost Analysis and Value Engineering:

  • Conduct cost analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
  • Work with the design and project management teams to implement value engineering recommendations.

Risk Management & Reporting and Documentation:

  • Identify and evaluate potential risks associated with project estimates and proposals.
  • Develop contingency plans and strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Prepare and present detailed estimation reports to management and clients.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all estimates, bids, and related documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost estimation for building construction and infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, or similar tools).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4, AED8,000.00 per month
