Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Coordinator to join our Steel and Fencing Division. This role is ideal for an engineering graduate with a strong interest in steel fabrication, structural detailing, and fencing systems.

The Technical Coordinator will be responsible for supporting project execution by coordinating technical drawings, material specifications, fabrication schedules, and installation workflows. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that engineering deliverables are aligned with project timelines, quality standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate technical documentation including shop drawings, fabrication details, and material submittals for steel structures and fencing systems.

Liaise with design engineers, draftsmen, procurement, and site teams to ensure smooth workflow from design to fabrication to installation.

Assist in reviewing project specifications, technical data sheets, and contract documents.

Monitor and track progress of project activities, fabrication schedules, and delivery timelines.

Support the preparation and submission of method statements, technical approvals, and quality control documentation.

Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with technical standards and project requirements.

Attend project coordination meetings and provide updates on technical progress and outstanding issues.

Ensure compliance with relevant codes (e.g., ASTM, BS, EN) and internal quality standards.

Prepare and maintain accurate records of technical submissions and revisions.

Provide basic technical support during site installation and resolve minor engineering issues under supervision.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Industrial Engineering.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a technical coordination, site engineering, or drafting support role.

Familiarity with steel fabrication processes, fencing systems, or construction project environments is a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word); experience with AutoCAD is preferred.

Understanding of technical drawings, fabrication tolerances, and material specifications.

Strong organizational and coordination skills.

Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and technical specifications.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Willingness to visit fabrication yards and project sites when required.
