Job Description:

Emesh Metal Manufacturing is seeking a skilled
3D CAD Designer
with expertise in
structural and shop drawings
for aluminium, cladding, and façade engineering projects. The role involves developing precise 2D and 3D models for aluminium, mild steel, and steel structures, as well as external and internal architectural fittings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong proficiency in
AutoCAD
, with a strong command over complementary design tools such as
Rhino, Revit, and Grasshopper
, and possess the ability to interpret and prepare complex shop drawings for manufacturing and installation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate 2D and 3D models for aluminium, cladding, and façade engineering projects using AutoCAD and other advanced CAD software.
  • Translate design concepts into comprehensive technical drawings and shop drawings for manufacturing and installation.
  • Prepare detailed documentation, including schematics, assembly drawings, and structural plans for aluminium, mild steel, and steel works.
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, material specifications, and local building regulations, with particular attention to United Arab Emirates requirements.
  • Revise and update existing designs based on project needs, integrating feedback from engineers, consultants, and project managers.
  • Apply a solid understanding of structural engineering principles, particularly in aluminium and steel design systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and consultants to resolve design challenges and achieve project objectives.
  • Deliver high-quality design outputs within set deadlines, demonstrating flexibility and resilience under pressure.
  • Stay current with advancements in CAD technology, software tools, and industry best practices to continuously enhance design quality and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in structural and shop drawing preparation, with proven expertise in aluminium, cladding, and façade engineering systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, with strong command of supporting CAD tools such as Rhino, Revit, and Grasshopper.
  • Thorough knowledge of building codes, structural standards, material properties, and modern construction methods.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in aluminium, mild steel, and steel structural design projects.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and modelling.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with adaptability to evolving project requirements.
