Position Overview:

The Senior Architectural Designer will play a key leadership role in shaping the creative direction of major architectural projects. This position requires deep design knowledge, technical proficiency, and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of experience and a strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in conceptual and detailed design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the conceptual and schematic design process for large-scale architectural projects.
  • Translate client requirements into innovative, functional, and aesthetically compelling architectural solutions.
  • Supervise and mentor junior and intermediate designers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure design integrity is maintained through execution.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Present designs to internal stakeholders and clients, articulating the design rationale and strategy.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure deadlines, budgets, and project goals are met.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • 15 to 20 years of professional experience in architectural design, including leadership roles in complex projects.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality design from concept through to execution.

Software Proficiency:

  • AutoCAD – Advanced
  • Revit – Advanced (mandatory)
  • SketchUp / Rhino – Intermediate to Advanced
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) – Advanced
  • 3ds Max / V-Ray / Enscape / Lumion – Preferred for visualization purposes
  • MS Office Suite – Proficient

Key Skills:

  • Strong design leadership and vision.
  • Deep understanding of architectural principles, building systems, and construction methods.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Dubai Municipality and UAE regulatory standards and submission processes.
