SME Electromechanical is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be a native Burmese speaker with a strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles and proven hands-on experience using accounting software. This role is critical for managing our day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accuracy in our reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting tasks, including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations regularly using an accounting software.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Process employee expense claims and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
  • Support senior accounting staff with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Handle communication and documentation related to specific vendors/stakeholders where Burmese language proficiency is required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Fluency in Burmese (speaking, reading, and writing) is mandatory.
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience using accounting software is essential.
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
