SME Electromechanical is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be a native Burmese speaker with a strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles and proven hands-on experience using accounting software. This role is critical for managing our day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accuracy in our reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting tasks, including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations regularly using an accounting software.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Process employee expense claims and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
- Support senior accounting staff with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Handle communication and documentation related to specific vendors/stakeholders where Burmese language proficiency is required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Fluency in Burmese (speaking, reading, and writing) is mandatory.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience using accounting software is essential.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
