About the Role
We are seeking a Head of Data Platforms to lead the strategy, architecture, and operations of our enterprise data platforms. This role is responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performing data infrastructure that enables analytics, AI/ML, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
You will partner closely with data engineering, analytics, product, and business leaders to ensure data platforms are reliable, accessible, and aligned with business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the enterprise data platform strategy and roadmap
- Own cloud data platforms, data lakes, warehouses, and streaming architectures
- Lead platform design supporting analytics, BI, AI/ML, and operational use cases
- Establish standards for data ingestion, transformation, quality, and governance
- Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure data protection and regulatory adherence
- Drive platform modernization, cloud adoption, and cost optimization
- Manage data platform tooling and vendor relationships
- Build, lead, and mentor high-performing data platform and engineering teams
- Establish SLAs, reliability metrics, and operational excellence practices
- Support data initiatives for growth, innovation, and M&A integration
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or data infrastructure
- Proven leadership experience managing platform or engineering teams
- Deep expertise in cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks)
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and streaming technologies
- Experience enabling analytics, BI, and machine learning workloads
- Excellent stakeholder communication and strategic planning skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in large-scale or regulated enterprise environments
- Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data catalogs
- Experience with real-time or event-driven data architectures
- Background in FinOps or cloud cost optimization
