Education: Diploma or Graduate in Civil Engineering
Experience:
10-12 years of experience in following areas in the field of infrastructure projects

• Proficient Use of Surveying Equipment: Expertise in using theodolites, GPS, total stations, and laser scanners for precise measurements and data collection.
• Topographic and Boundary Surveys: Extensive experience conducting detailed topographic and boundary surveys for substation sites and renewable energy plants.
• Geospatial Data Analysis: Skilled in processing and analysing geospatial data using software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and other surveying tools.
• Construction Staking and Layout: Proficiency in construction staking and layout for substation infrastructure and renewable energy installations, ensuring accurate placement of structures.
• Regulatory Compliance: In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and standards related to surveying in infrastructure projects, ensuring all surveys are compliant.

Experience in Civil & Structural Construction works in Renewable Energy Sector would be an advantage.

Objective
Responsible for site specific SOP (Std. Operating Procedure) for performing the Surveying for the Civil & Structural works for Renewable (PV Solar, BESS, Wind) projects, Substation Projects and Utility Power Distribution Projects.

Visit / camp at project sites as required and guide the project survey team in ensuring comprehensive and accurate topographical survey of the area.

Assess the survey data on the accuracy levels, reference certified Benchmarks, TBMs.

The Civil & Structural Works include Site Development works (Grading, Slope protection, retaining walls, Boundary walls / Fence), Electrical Buildings (GIS, Control), Utility Buildings (Administrative, Pump house, Security, Staff Quarters, Guest House, Ware House, etc.), Substation Outdoor Structures & Foundations, PV / BESS Plant Structures and Foundations, Wind Farm Civil BOP, Infrastructure works including Plant Roads, Access Roads, Drains, Yard Paving, etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct land and building surveys to collect site data, including measurements of distances, angles, elevations, and contours.
• Prepare accurate and detailed survey reports, maps, and documentation.
• Utilize surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS, and levels to capture precise data.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and site teams to ensure survey data meets project requirements.
• Review and verify survey data for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for grading and other topographic requirements.
• Collaborate with clients to draw approvals and resolve survey-related clarifications.
• Provide site support to address any surveying-related queries.
• Optimize quantities to align with bid quantities while fulfilling client requirements.

Technical Expertise
Should be Proficient in following areas:

• Proficient in using surveying instruments and related software for data collection and processing.
• Experience in topographic surveys of large area, boundary surveys, and construction staking.
• Ensure compliance with applicable surveying codes and standards.
• Experience in the Renewable plants, power sector projects preferred.
• Exposure to international projects will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.

Operating Network

• Internally: PEMs, Head of EDRC, BU Heads & Project heads, Repartees, Project Construction Managers, Supply Chain Management, Quality, Contracts Team, Cluster Heads, Safety through proper channel.
• Externally: Clients at decision making level & Review Consultants (Team Leads) through proper channel on need basis.

Software Skills Required

• AutoCAD Civil 3D
