Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai for the role of Authority Engineer/Coordinator. The Authority Engineer/Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating with local authorities and ensuring compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and standards for ongoing and upcoming projects. Tasks include preparing and submitting required documents, obtaining necessary permits and approvals, coordinating with project teams, and managing communication between stakeholders. The role will also involve resolving technical and regulatory issues, monitoring project progress related to approvals, and maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of local authority regulations, building codes, and permitting processes
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure timely approvals and project compliance
  • Excellent coordination and communication abilities to interact with local authorities, regulatory entities, and project teams effectively
  • Proficiency in preparing reports, technical documentation, and proper record-keeping
  • Problem-solving skills to address and resolve compliance and approval issues swiftly
  • Educational background in civil or structural engineering or a related field
  • Prior experience in an authority liaison or similar role in the UAE or construction industry is advantageous
  • Familiarity with the use of project management and documentation tools
