Job Title: Electrical Technician

Department: Operations / Technical

Reports To: Electrical Engineer / Project Supervisor

Job Purpose:

To perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in compliance with safety standards, technical drawings, and project specifications.Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues in control panels, circuits, and distribution systems.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Ensure proper grounding, insulation, and safety of electrical connections.
  • Support commissioning and testing of electrical systems for new installations or modifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to complete project tasks on time.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities and update records in CRM/Software.
  • Adhere to company and site-specific safety procedures and regulations.
  • Report faults, potential hazards, and system performance issues promptly.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical installation, electrical power meters, maintenance, or other power systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, safety practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience with LV/MV systems (as applicable).
  • Familiarity with tools and testing instruments such as multimeters, insulation testers, etc.
