JOB PURPOSE:

  • Establish, implement, and monitor robust governance frameworks across all the projects within the EPMO/EOE function.
  • Ensure strict adherence to EPMO standards and regulatory requirements, thereby guaranteeing the timely delivery of projects with accurate reporting and full compliance.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams, mitigate risks, escalate when necessary and support the PMs to deliver projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
  • EPMO Standards Compliance: Drive and monitor project compliance with the bank's EPMO standards and governance frameworks as defined in the EPMO Charter and SOP, to maintain consistency across the project portfolio.
  • Reporting Accuracy and Timeliness: Coordinate with Project Managers (PMs) to validate and release accurate project status reports and dashboards on schedule for senior management review.
  • Steering Committee (PSC) Oversight: Ensure Project Steering Committee meetings are conducted periodically as defined in the respective project charter, including agenda preparation and minute-taking for critical decision-making.
  • Document Governance: Audit project artifacts to ensure all mandatory documents (charters, project plans, approvals, MOMs etc.) are current, approved, and stored as per the bank's records management system.
  • Audit Points Remediation: Act as the focal point for closing internal audit and Sharia audit observations by working with PMs to implement corrective action plans, updating SOPs, reviewing evidences etc. Coordinate with the Audit team to close the observations as per timelines approved by management, with no extensions.
  • Change Control Management: Implement and oversee the project change control process to ensure all scope, timeline, and budget variations are properly documented and approved.
  • Quality Assurance Reviews: Conduct periodic implementation assessments to proactively identify issues and recommend action plans that align with bank policies.
  • Project Closure and Value Delivery: Oversee the formal closure of projects, ensuring all deliverables meet specifications and capturing "lessons learned" for continuous improvement.
  • Support the Project Manager to complete within the budget and scheduled timelines at the highest quality levels
  • Projects delivered according to the defined scope without significant changes.
  • Project files are completed with appropriate documents.
  • Audit Observations are closed within the allotted timelines with no exceptions.
  • Project Reports are released on time and of the highest quality as defined in the project charter.
  • Project Steering Committee meetings are held periodically as defined in the project charter.
  • Minutes of Meeting are released.
  • All project decisions are appropriately documented and approved.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate in IT or Business

Project Management Certifications – PMP, PMI-ACP etc.

Minimum Experience:

3–5 years in project management or governance within the banking sector.

Understanding of the UAE Banking regulations and policies.

Language Skills:

Exceptional English reading/ writing/ speaking skills (Arabic and English Preferred)

Computer/ System/ Software Skills:

MS Office Applications (Excel/ Word/ PowerPoint/ MS Project/ Visio).

Advanced proficiency in MS Project, Visio, and PPM tools like Jira or Clarity.
