Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced
Senior Mechanical Engineer
to manage and supervise mechanical works at the site, oversee all technical aspects, and ensure effective coordination of shop drawings and engineering deliverables. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in infrastructure mechanical works including utility networks, pumping stations, HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting systems, and related mechanical services, along with building MEP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Supervision:

  • Monitor and supervise mechanical installation works on site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes.
  • Coordinate and follow up with subcontractors and site teams to ensure timely and quality execution.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and performance standards.
  • Attend technical and progress meetings and provide regular updates to the project management team.
  • Resolve on-site mechanical and multi-disciplinary coordination issues promptly.

Technical & Engineering Oversight:

  • Review and approve mechanical shop drawings, as-built documentation, and coordination layouts.
  • Prepare and follow up on material submittals, RFIs (technical queries), and method statements.
  • Ensure mechanical systems meet relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, etc.).
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, and local authorities for design reviews and site-related approvals.
  • Support commissioning, testing, and handover of mechanical systems and equipment.

Infrastructure-Specific Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate mechanical infrastructure works such as:
  • Potable water networks
  • Sewage and stormwater systems
  • District cooling networks
  • Pumping stations and mechanical plant rooms
  • Fire water and irrigation systems
  • Ensure integration and coordination with civil/infrastructure works and other MEP services.
  • Obtain NOC/approvals from relevant authorities and utility service providers.
  • Review infrastructure-related mechanical drawings and provide technical support during construction.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering .
  • 8–10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 4–5 years in execution projects.
  • Solid technical expertise in both infrastructure and building MEP mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (MEP), and MS Office; knowledge of BIM is an advantage.
  • Familiar with international and local mechanical standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, etc.).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Capable of working under pressure and managing multiple tasks across disciplines.
