Role & responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines -

  • Automate software build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Ensure smooth and reliable releases.

Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) -

  • Develop and maintain scripts for provisioning and configuring cloud/on-prem resources.
  • Use tools like Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation.

Cloud Infrastructure Management -

  • Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications and infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Handle scalability, security, and cost optimization.

Containerization & Orchestration -

  • Build and maintain Docker containers.
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters and deployments.

Monitoring and Incident Management -

  • Set up monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Participate in incident response and post-mortems.

Collaboration with Development and Operations Teams -

  • Work closely with software developers to streamline software delivery.
  • Bridge gaps between development, QA, and operations.

Security and Compliance -

  • Integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Manage secrets, compliance checks, vulnerability scanning.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing -

  • Write and maintain clear documentation on infrastructure and processes.
  • Mentor team members on DevOps practices.

Preferred candidate profile:

Technical Skills:

  • Proven experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms, especially AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with container technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration.
  • Basic networking knowledge.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments.
  • Proactive and self-motivated mindset.
  • Openness to learning new tools and technologies.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA, etc.) are a plus.

Experience:

  • Typically 2-7 years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
