Job Description – Joinery Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for an experienced Joinery Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation, budgeting, and commercial activities for joinery and interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of joinery materials, production methods, and project execution processes.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Contract / Estimation

  • Review project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to understand client requirements.
  • Prepare accurate quantity take-offs for joinery, furniture, and interior fit-out elements.
  • Develop detailed BOQs, cost estimates, and tender submissions.
  • Source and obtain material and subcontractor quotations, negotiate pricing, and prepare comparison sheets.
  • Identify design discrepancies and raise RFIs to consultants or clients.
  • Maintain and update pricing database for materials, labor, and production costs.

Post-Contract / Commercial

  • Prepare and submit valuations, variations, and claims as per project progress.
  • Monitor cost control throughout the project life cycle.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure commercial alignment with site progress.
  • Evaluate subcontractor invoices and certify payments.
  • Assist in project budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Coordination & Documentation

  • Liaise with design, production, procurement, and site teams for material clarity and project updates.
  • Maintain complete documentation of estimates, quotations, correspondence, and approvals.
  • Ensure all commercial activities comply with company processes and client requirements.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in Joinery / Interior Fit-Out.
  • Strong knowledge of joinery materials, production processes, and installation methods.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, PlanSwift (or similar take-off software).
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED9, AED10,000.00 per month
