Position Summary

The Store Helper performs duties to support receiving and shipping, deliveries as instructed by the Asst. Storekeeper, Storekeeper or HOD.

Summary of Main Duties

• Actively participates in upholding and promoting the vision and culture of University Hospital – Sharjah (UHS)
• Complies with all UHS policies and procedures and fire regulations
• Participates in all aspects of the International Accreditation program to contribute in the UHS attainment and maintenance of international accreditation standards
• Distribute and delivers ordered materials to the Hospital and staff.
• Maintains cleanliness of the warehouse area in a neat and orderly manner.
• Self-development participate in internal orientation, mandatory competencies , ongoing education programs to maintain a current knowledge base as needed
• Works any shift as per the duty roster of the Materials Management Department when designated
• The employment terms and conditions for this position are specified in the individuals Employment Contract

• Familiar with modern warehouse procedures, including methods of proper and orderly storage and issuance of materials; basic stock inventory procedures; requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, bills of lading, freight tags, and the use and meaning of each; computerized warehouse record keeping systems.
