Private Equity Investment Associate

Private Equity Investment Associate required to join the Investment Team of a family office in Dubai. The candidate will be involved in all phases of the investment process, including market monitoring, investment screening, due diligence, portfolio monitoring and risk management. Prior Private Equity experience with a Private Equity manager in the US, UK or Europe is a must.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Work closely with senior investment professionals to conduct due diligence, research and analysis on potential investment opportunities across the portfolio, with a focus on direct private equity deals and co-investments;
  • Support operational value creation by working closely with portfolio company management teams on strategic initiatives, performance tracking, and execution support.
  • Create and maintain high-quality financial models;
  • Conduct and maintain market mappings and business intelligence to identify potentially attractive investment themes, ideas and target companies;
  • Apply analytical and quantitative methods to generate insightful portfolio performance/risk analysis;
  • Maintain monitoring database and prepare regular/ad-hoc monitoring and reporting sheets for existing investments;
  • Actively contribute to the digitalisation and modernisation of the investment process (e.g. help in implementing new systems and analysis to automate investment processes, quant due diligence, monitoring, portfolio performance and risk management).

Profile Required:

  • 5-6+ years of private equity experience with a leading PE firm in the US, UK or Europe is a must;
  • Prior exposure to value creation and operational improvement within portfolio companies;
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in corporate finance/ economics/ accounting;
  • High proficiency in financial modelling and Excel; knowledge of VBA, R, Matlab, or Python is a plus;
  • Knowledge of Capital IQ and other databases;
  • Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills;
  • Intellectual curiosity, passion to learn and grow, and good business acumen required;
  • Arabic fluency is a plus.
