Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Plumbing Engineer to join our MEP team. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed plumbing shop drawings, coordinating with consultants and site teams, and supporting project execution. This role is primarily office-based, with occasional site visits required for inspections, verification, and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Drafting

  • Prepare detailed plumbing shop drawings (water supply, drainage, stormwater, pump rooms, water tanks, etc.) using AutoCAD.
  • Develop coordination drawings with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and structural services.
  • Modify and update drawings based on consultant comments, site conditions, and technical requirements.
  • Ensure drawings comply with UAE standards, local authority regulations, and project specifications.

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
  • Attend technical meetings when required.
  • Assist in preparing method statements, material submittals, and as-built drawings.
  • Review IFC drawings and highlight discrepancies or missing information.

Site-Related Tasks

  • Conduct periodic site visits to check installation compliance with approved drawings.
  • Support site teams with technical clarifications.
  • Resolve on-site conflicts through proper coordination with the project engineer.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Plumbing Engineering.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD – mandatory.
  • Previous UAE experience is a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of plumbing systems, fittings, pumps, and MEP design.
  • Experience with pressure calculations, pipe sizing, and equipment selection is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, technical accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
